Look Incredible Review – February 2016

image

Well February sees my second month’s subscription to the Look Incredible beauty box, it does offer incredible value for money when you consider the brands contained within.

Fusion Beauty | IllumiCover Concealer

This was a completely new brand to me, but in all honesty it is a pretty good product, the packaging is quite pretty and fairly durable. It helps cover shadows, dark circles and imperfections, the formulation is very lightweight and brightens the skin instantly. It is developed with hydro-gel technology that helps to plump up wrinkles. A nice addition to my make-up bag. RRP £16.50

Estee Lauder | Pure Colour Lipstick in Pinkberry

I love this colour, a pinky-brown nude colour that glides effortlessly onto your lips. The colour is really rich and lasts really well, it even survived quite a few cups of tea this morning before fading. Estée Lauder is always good quality and value for money in my opinion. RRP £21.99

Essie | Millionails Treatment

Formulated with iron and amino acids, the treatment contains one million fast-acting molecules that effectively prevent peeling, breaking and splitting. Once applied the varnish dries really quickly, but it left my nails feeling rather rough and I wasn’t happy enough with the finish to use underneath nail polish. It did work quite well, and provided a couple of days of protection before I applied nail polish, I did try one nail as a base coat, but I wasn’t happy with the overall finish. RRP £9.99

Tarte | Maracuja Cheek Tint

Infused with pure maracuja oil, this cheek tiny is loaded with antioxidant rich nutrients. Dab and blend – quickly – to the apples of your cheeks to experience the cooling sensation of this blush. It is very bright and a little goes a long way… I am quite tempted to try this as a lip stain, I’ll let you know how I get on. RRP £20.00

NARS | Single Matte Eyeshadow in Grenadines

My first thought was “Wow, that’s an unusual colour for an eyeshadow” But if used lightly it is a great evening colour teamed with a deep grey for a sultry smokey eye. It is a highly pigmented velvety-matte ultra fine powder which is long wearing and crease-resistant. I think I need to invest in a few more colours. RRP £18.00

A few unusual colours included in this month’s box, but don’t be put off, they aren’t as scary as they first look – honest. Overall not a bad curation for the money, to find out more about the Look Incredible beauty boxes click here.

Look Incredible Review – January 2016

image

A new year, and a new beauty box – life is good. But it got even better once I opened my first ever Look Incredible beauty box. Wow impressive!

Look Incredible promise is 5 full-sized products. That’s right, no travel-size products, to create a box that will last you a whole month and allow you to enjoy all the items on offer. Every item is carefully selected by their beauty experts who aim to ensure you recieve high quality products that include loved classics and new launches – and they certainly achieved this.

BareMinerals | Redness Remedy

I have to admit I’m really excited to recieve this product as I suffer from rosacea. The product claims to reduce facial redness on contact and over time. It is powered by their ActiveSoil Complex, which minimises the appearance of imperfections and imparts luminosity for a healthy-looking, more even-toned complexion. Plus it also includes an antibacterial-treated soothing compress brush. I’ll keep you posted on how well it works.

BareMinerals | Flawless Lash Mascara

If you love natural big bold lashes then this is the mascara for you! The NutriPlump formula dramatically plumps lashes up to 600% (after 2 coats) for the perfect volume and flutter. From a personal point of view one coat is enough for daytime, I wear specs and have quite long lashes which rub against the lenses. Two coats certainly adds drama – it separates lashes and coats each lash perfectly with no clumps.

Essie | Steeling the Scene

I love this colour, so much so within half an hour of opening the box I am now wearing it. It’s a beautiful creamy pewter colour that shimmers and shines.

Yves Saint Laurent | Lip Twins

This sample is great, it combines two colours, a neutral pink colour, along with a slightly darker gloss which peps up the shade perfectly for after works drinks – not that I drink after work. The packaging is the gorgeous YSL gold and a gadget lovers dream, it comes complete with an in-built mirror, the only downside being there is no lip brush, which I believe comes with full product.

Laura Geller | Baked Impressions Blush, Mauve Mocha Latte

For me this blush is perfect, it is a perfect matte terracotta shade with slight pinky under tones, perfect for a natural flush of colour that is easily buildable. The ultra smooth formula glides onto your skin like a dream!

I was so impressed with the content of this box I had to share it immediately, so apologies for the rubbish photos – I will try harder in the future, honest! I am truly impressed with the quality of the products in this box and all for a bargain £18.99 plus p&p. You can find out more on the Look Incredible website.

I can hardly wait for February’s box.
